About

Cate Oranchak, a LEED accredited professional, has been practicing landscape architecture for over 25 years. Her varied experience spans projects of all shapes and sizes: urban, institutional, corporate and residential in both the public and private realms. Her recent work includes a college campus landscape marking the entrance to a new athletic village at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York; an affordable housing and mixed use development in Jamica Plain, Massachusetts and gardens for a private residence in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.
Her work is founded on the belief that landscape architecture is a craft; balancing natural and man-made materials enmeshed in both artistic and utilitarian sensibilities. In all her projects, Oranchak strives to build enduring landscapes for the experience of all.
In 2012, Catherine Oranchak/Landscape Architect became a Massachusetts Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE).
